At VIQ Architecture, we design bedrooms as serene retreats that balance comfort, elegance, and personal expression. Our approach emphasizes clean lines, natural materials, and a harmonious interplay of textures to create restful environments tailored to our clients’ needs. ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES
Floor-to-ceiling windows along one side of the room flood the space with natural light and offer expansive views of the surrounding cityscape. Framed by sheer, flowing white curtains, the windows emphasize the room’s connection to the outdoors while maintaining privacy and softness.
A built-in wood panel running along the base of the windows adds warmth and architectural interest. Its rich tone contrasts beautifully with the lighter elements of the room, grounding the overall design.
FLOORING & RUG
The flooring features light wood planks that add warmth and a natural feel to the space. A large, textured area rug in a soft cream color anchors the bed and nightstands, providing a tactile element that complements the room’s clean lines.
BED & FOCAL POINT
The centerpiece of the room is a low-profile platform bed with an upholstered headboard in a soft beige tone. Its vertical channel detailing adds a subtle touch of texture while maintaining a clean and elegant aesthetic. The bedding is layered with crisp white linens, a light green throw, and plush pillows, reinforcing the room’s serene ambiance.

NIGHTSTANDS & LIGHTING
Flanking the bed are two dark wood nightstands with sleek, minimalist designs. Each features a single drawer and an open shelf, combining functionality with understated style. Mounted above each nightstand is a contemporary wall sconce with a matte brass finish and frosted glass globe. These sconces provide warm, ambient lighting while adding a sculptural element to the space.

This bedroom is a striking example of modern industrial design, blending clean lines, natural light, and warm wood tones to create a harmonious and functional living space. LIGHTING
The lighting in the room is both functional and minimal, with a white adjustable desk lamp mounted on the headboard for reading or focused illumination. Track lighting on the ceiling enhances the industrial aesthetic while providing versatility in highlighting specific areas of the room.
BED & HEADBOARD
The centerpiece of the room is a sleek platform bed, featuring a headboard crafted from warm, richly grained wood. The headboard’s integrated design includes built-in shelving, offering a functional yet stylish solution for bedside storage. The crisp white bedding is layered with a textured gray throw, adding softness and a touch of contrast to the clean, angular forms of the bed frame.

FURNITURE
Adjacent to the bed, a custom wooden desk extends along the wall, doubling as both a workspace and a design element. Its warm wood finish matches the headboard, ensuring visual continuity. The desk is paired with a modern white desk chair, its curved design adding a sculptural touch to the space. A minimalist nightstand, also crafted from the same warm wood, features rounded edges and blends seamlessly into the overall design.
ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES
The room’s industrial character is defined by an exposed concrete column that stands prominently near the floor-to-ceiling windows. The column’s raw texture adds depth and a sense of strength, contrasting with the sleek finishes of the furniture and flooring. The ceiling, with its exposed concrete finish, reinforces the industrial aesthetic, while track lighting along the ceiling provides practical, directional illumination.
NATURAL LIGHT

Frosted lower panels provide privacy without compromising the influx of light, while the upper clear panels frame sweeping urban views.
