At VIQ Architecture, we design family rooms as inviting, multifunctional spaces that foster connection, relaxation, and creativity. Whether a serene library, a vibrant lounge, or a media-rich entertainment hub, our approach blends comfort, flexibility, and aesthetic refinement. We incorporate thoughtful storage, adaptable layouts, and carefully curated materials to balance practicality with sophistication. BUILT-IN SHELVING
The back wall is dominated by an expansive built-in shelving unit crafted from light wood, creating a warm and natural backdrop. Its grid-like design features open shelves and concealed storage cabinets, offering both display and organizational functionality. The shelves are styled with a mix of books, sculptural decor, vases, and framed art, adding personality and visual interest. SEATING ARRANGEMENT
The floating vanity features a clean, minimalist design with vertical ribbed detailing on its front panels. Its crisp white finish enhances the room’s bright and airy ambiance. The integrated countertop supports a sleek, white vessel sink with smooth, rounded edges, adding a sculptural element to the design. The room benefits from ample natural light streaming through a large window on one side. RUG & FLOORING
The seating area is grounded by a large area rug in a neutral, woven texture that contrasts with the room’s vivid colors. The rug helps define the space while softening the hardwood flooring. The flooring itself is finished in light wood tones, providing a seamless and natural foundation that enhances the room’s warmth.
SEATING ARRANGEMENT
Beside the sofa, a sculptural blue lounge chair with mid-century modern influences offers an additional seating option. Its curved form and deep color contrast beautifully with the red sofa, creating a dynamic interplay of tones and shapes. FLOORING & TEXTURES

MEDIA WALL
The focal point of the space is a sleek, wall-mounted flat-screen TV surrounded by minimalist decor. Below the TV, a custom-built wooden media console runs the length of the wall, providing ample space for audiovisual equipment while maintaining a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. LIGHTING

WALL ART & PERSONAL TOUCHES
